Summary of issues discussed:
1. Ruth Mullineux - Keeping Children Safe Online & NSPCC Share Aware Campaign.
2. Presentation by the pupils of St Teilo’s Church in Wales High School.
3. Professor Emma Renold - Sexual harassment in young cyber-relationships: research, policy and change.
4. Dr. Sangeet Bhullar - Key Findings of Generation 2000 report: Internet and digital media habits and digital literacy of over 2000 Year 9 pupils across Wales.
“Young people often understand more about staying safe on the internet than their parents. But that doesn’t mean that young people don’t need support to understand the messages they encounter online and the dangers of sharing too much. It highlights how important it is that our children and young people are given age-appropriate, comprehensive education about healthy relationships and respect. So I urge the Welsh Government to make a whole-school approach to healthy relationships education mandatory.”
